Reports

The auction module includes a wide range of reports covering every stage of the sale — from pre-sale catalogs and prep sheets through post-sale summaries, buyer analysis, and financial reconciliation. Most reports are available in HTML, PDF, Word, or Excel formats.

Pre-Sale Reports

Sale Catalog (PDF)

The standard sale catalog in PDF format. Displays animals in a 2×3 or 2×2 grid per page, with one card per animal showing lot number, herd ID, registration information, birth date, pedigree lines, and EPD values.

Bull Sale Catalog (PDF)

A bull-specific catalog formatted in a 2×4 layout (8 animals per page). Includes lot number, registration, color, pedigree lines, frame score, and performance data, optimized for bull sales where per-page density is higher.

Female Sale Catalog (PDF)

Female catalog formatted with 6 animals per page. Includes reproductive and maternal information relevant to female lots.

Extended Sale Catalog (PDF)

Catalog with additional annotation space for footnotes and catalog update text. Available in 2×2 or 2×3 layout, accommodating longer descriptions alongside standard animal data.

Animal Listing

A tabular listing of all animals in the auction showing lot number, herd ID, registration number, sex, birth date, current location, ownership percentages, and controller information. Sortable by lot, tag, animal name, or registration number.

Animal Descriptions

Animal listing that includes catalog text fields — footnotes, comments, and catalog update fields — alongside full pedigree and location data. Used for preparing and proofing descriptive copy before the sale.

Animal Bullets

Animal listing that includes the marketing bullet fields (bullet header and up to five bullet lines). Used to review and proof customized selling-point highlights for each lot.

Sale Order

A simple two-column report showing sale order number and lot number. Used to print the auction sequence for staff running the sale.

Bid Proof Sheet

Lot-by-lot record showing lot number, final bid price, and bidder ID. Can be filtered by lot range. Used as a paper record of winning bids during the sale.

Auction Prep Checklist

A pre-sale readiness checklist covering the steps required to prepare the auction for bidding — catalog completeness, bidder registration, and configuration verification.

Bidder List

Complete list of registered bidders with ranch name, contact person, mailing address, city, state, postal code, and bidder number. Excludes placeholder "UNKNOWN BIDDER" entries. Available in HTML, Word, Excel, and tab-delimited formats.

Performance and Genetics Reports

Performance / Growth Report

Comprehensive growth data for each lot: birth weight (actual and adjusted), weaning weight (actual and adjusted), yearling weight and hip height (actual and adjusted), docility score, and weaning/yearling weight ratios. Sortable by tag or name.

Ultrasound Data

The most recent ultrasound measurement set for each animal, showing ribeye area, marbling score, and fat thickness.

EPD Report

Full EPD values for each lot, with variants for standard EPDs, EPDs with accuracy values, and genomic predictions. Supports Angus and Charolais association formats. Includes the EPD as-of date.

EPD Percentile Rankings

EPD percentile rankings by class (non-parent cows, non-parent bulls, proven females, proven males). Includes an option to copy the percentile data directly into the catalog update or footnote fields for each animal.

EPD Change

Tracks EPD value changes over a user-specified date range. Useful for verifying that EPD updates from a breed association have been applied correctly before the sale.

EPD vs. Sale Price Analysis

Correlates EPD values with final sale price. Shows lot, price, and EPD metrics side by side for post-sale analysis of which traits drove value.

DNA Test Results (Zoetis / Igenity)

DNA test results by animal, showing herd ID, registration, birth date, pedigree, lot number, and test results by genetic marker. Supports Zoetis Igenity Rank and MVP panel formats.

Foot Scores

Foot structure measurements by animal and date, including claw set (1–9), claw length, heel depth, and angle. Filterable by date range.

Veterinary Report

Vet notes and health information for sale animals. Filterable by invoiced/uninvoiced status. Shows lot, animal name, tattoo, location, sale price, buyer delivery directions, and prior-sale vet history.

Reproductive Reports

Calving Worksheet

Tracks expected calvings for auction cows. Shows cow ID, lot, location, sire information, and calculated days from breeding to expected calving. Filterable by expected calving date range.

Pregnancy Check Worksheet

Pregnancy status record showing cow ID, lot, location, and pregnancy status. Supports adjusted due date calculations based on a configurable pregnancy check date.

Pasture Calving

Records actual calvings in a date range. Shows cow ID, lot, location, calf BHID, calf activation status, sire, dam, and days since calving.

Reproductive Report

Breeding activity summary for auction cows showing implant dates, AI dates, observation dates, and pregnancy status. Filterable by breeding activity date range.

Pregnancy Validation

Detailed pregnancy tracking showing all breeding events (implant, AI, observation, natural service) with dates and pregnancy stage for each animal.

Embryo Reports

Embryo Inventory (Individual Records)

Line-by-line embryo inventory showing: donor tag, embryo ID, collection and freeze dates, cane/straw/zona identification, freeze protocol, stage and quality codes, storage location, technician, and invoice number.

Embryo Inventory Summary

Embryo counts aggregated by donor animal. Shows donor tag, donor name, sire, embryo count by quality and stage, cane location status, and invoice data.

Lot and Animal Detail Reports

Dam Lot Listing

Cross-reference of dams to auction lots. Groups all lot numbers that contain offspring of each dam. Used to highlight dam influence across the sale.

Sire Lot Listing

Cross-reference of sires to auction lots. Groups all lot numbers that contain progeny of each sire.

Sire and Dam Lot Listing

Combined pedigree cross-reference showing all unique sire × dam combinations with the lot numbers produced by each cross.

Sire Sale Averages

Performance by sire: number of lots sold, average bid price, and total gross, split by sex (bull vs. female). Filterable to invoiced lots only.

Animals Not Bid

All lots in the auction catalog with no recorded bid. Shows lot number, animal details, sale order, sell percent, category, location, and animal status. Use this after the sale to identify passed or unsold lots.

Missing Bids

Lots that should have bid records but do not. Includes part-of-lot references and free-part flags. More targeted than Animals Not Bid — focuses on catalog structure gaps rather than passed lots.

Current Location

All auction animals grouped by their current storage or pasture location. Useful for coordinating loading and delivery logistics.

Buyer and Sales Reports

Bidder Totals

Summary by bidder: bidder ID, name, city, state, count of animals purchased, and total amount spent. Sorted by number of bids.

Repeat Buyers

Identifies buyers who have appeared in multiple auctions. Filterable by animal sex (bulls, cows, or any) and sale type (auction or private treaty). Optional detail showing what each repeat buyer purchased in each sale.

Last Buyer Report

Buyer contact and delivery information for shipped animals, including directions stored in the buyer's GEM profile. Used by delivery staff when coordinating shipments.

Prior Sales History

Historical sale and purchase records for animals. Filterable by seller ID, buyer ID, animal type (bulls, steers, cows, embryos), and date range.

Progeny Sales Summary

Tracks where progeny of auction animals were subsequently sold. Filterable by date range and embryo transfer status.

General Sale Activity Report

Detailed sale activity record showing lot, animal details, bid price, bidder ID, buyer name and location, and category. Filterable by bidder or lot range. Used as a comprehensive reference of every transaction.

Public Sale Report

Public-facing sales results: lot, sell percent, final price, buyer name, buyer city and state, and category. Filterable to invoiced lots only. This is the report shared externally to publicize results.

Partner Reports

Consignment and partner sales showing lot, animal details, sale price, sell percent, seller name, and buyer information. Filterable by seller or buyer ID.

Post-Sale Summary Reports

Auction Summary (PDF)

Full auction summary PDF with the auction logo, name, dates, and location. Contains: overall statistics, top lots, top bidders by number of purchases, state distribution of buyers, per-category tally, sire and dam breakdowns, and bidder/buyer counts. The primary document for announcing results.

Auction Summary Highlights (PDF)

Condensed landscape-format highlights version of the auction summary. Focused on top-level metrics in a smaller format suitable for quick distribution or posting.

Public Auction Summary (PDF)

Public-facing auction summary filtered to invoiced lots only. Same structure as the full auction summary, but reflects only completed, invoiced sales — appropriate for publication.

Auction Progress Summary

Generates either the full or highlights PDF on demand, with an option to restrict to invoiced lots only. Used during and immediately after the sale to produce a current snapshot of results.

Control and Administrative Reports

Auction Transfer Report

Transfer records for breed association registrations. Select the target association (Angus, Charolais, or other) and the report generates the transfer documentation for animals sold in that auction.

Control Transfer Report

Association transfer report in PDF format with association-specific field layouts and data requirements.

Personnel Report

Contact information for all registered bidders at the auction: ranch name, contact person, mailing address, city, state, postal code, bidder number, and phone numbers. Excludes unknown bidder placeholders.

Unpaid Invoices

All outstanding invoices for the auction: invoice number, buyer, subtotal, miscellaneous charges, total amount, and invoice creation date. Filtered to unpaid invoices only, sorted by invoice number.

GENETRUST Catalog Data Export

Specialized export for the GENETRUST catalog system with 50+ columns per animal including lot, registration, pedigree (four generations), all EPD values, growth data, ultrasound measurements, and ownership information.
